Google Adds Games to Google Plus Project
As most of us might have already expected, Google has finally unleashed its initial set of social games on Google+. The obvious goal is to take on Facebook’s arsenal of games, which most analyst says has skyrocketed Facebook to its current position in the Social networking arena.
Of course, Google just don’t want to bombard Google+ users with games. What makes them different from Facebook is that they allowed their users to “control over when they see games, how they play them and with whom they share their experiences. Games in Google+ are there when they want them and gone when they don’t.
The initial list of their games is a bit small compared to the army of Facebook game apps. The list currently includes Rovio’s Angry Birds, Bejeweled, Zynga Poker and many more. But as more and more people and game developers flock to Google Plus, we can expect that the quantity of games in will explode. And this is not far from reality since Google Plus has seen tremendous growth in just six weeks after release. Current numbers shows that Google+ has already raked over 20 Million registered users even though it is just on a Beta stage and access is currently via invitation only.
Yet, it is too early to predict the success of G+ games. It all boils down to the quality of games as well as the users liking it.
Note: Google Plus games is NOT yet available to ALL users. If you don’t see games on your Google Plus account, well it means that you are not one of the few chosen to try it.But don’t despair, Google said that they will eventually roll it to everyone.
