Apple to Release iPad HD on March 7 Event?
All along almost everybody thought that it’s gonna be iPad 3, the name of the newest version of Apple tablet. But now, as the Apple event draws closer and closer, it appears that Apple won’t take that name. New evidences including catalog of parts from suppliers and server logs suggests that Apple will be using the unprecedented ”HD” tag at the end of the popular iDevice. Major tech blogs were unanimous in their conclusion: Apple will be releasing not the iPad 3 but the iPad HD.

As indicated by early rumors, the next generation of iPad will feature a retina display doubling the resolution of iPad and iPad 2. This is consistent with the “HD” suggesting a higher definition of display for better visual experience.

iPad 3, iPad 2 Plus or iPad HD – Apple to Release a New iPad Later This Year?

Looks like Apple is set to launch a new version of iPad tablet late this year, probably this September along with a highly probable iPhone 5 and iPod line refresh. This is based on recent reports claiming that Apple suppliers in Asia has begun preparing components for a new iPad.
Initially, the device was named iPad 3 as a successor of the current iPad 2. Then, a few days later an “iPad 2 Plus” came out in the news indicating that Apple will just have few minor updates with the current iPad 2 in the market, most notably a lighter and thinner device. Then lately, a device in the name of “iPad HD” came out claiming that the new iPad will double the current resolution of iPad 2 with a 2048 x 1536 resolution screen. The iPad HD is speculated to be tailored on high-end market targeting people who work for video and photo editing jobs.
So whatever the name Apple will give to the next iPad tablet, it seems that the new device will be released sooner than what we expected. The next question is how will this new device affect the current sales of iPad 2, which was just released last March 2011.
